The Enneagram is a model of personality types that has strong Christian and spiritual ties. The model describes nine different Types of people based on motivations, temptations, perspectives on the world, and growth opportunities. We all can demonstrate characteristics associated with all nine personality Types, but we each have our preferred Type that impacts how we see and navigate the world.
We come to understand God and our relationship to Him, but better understanding ourselves. This workshop will give you and opportunity to reflect on how you were made by God, how you have been impacted by your life experiences, and how all of this impacts your self identity and relationship with God and others.
This is a content rich workshop that will also encourage you to reflect and share with others. Handouts will be sent out to participants before each session to facilitate note taking. The book, “The Enneagram For Beginners” is not required reading, but if you purchase it, it will be a helpful resource.

Since we understand that the concept of the Enneagram may be new to many of you, we are offering the opportunity to just attend the Opening Sessions/Overview before you decide if the entire program is for you. At the conclusion of the Opening Session, you will have the opportunity to register for the entire program.

The conversations that will take place during each session will provide you with an opportunity to explore your Type and learn from others. These conversations will be critical for the learning process. Therefore, it is expected that you will attend all six sessions. If you are not able to attend Session 1 (an introduction to the workshop content) and at least four of the other sessions (five in total) please do not sign up for the full workshop. This program will be offered periodically.

In Psalm 51, the psalmist cries out to God for cleansing and restoration. In today’s world there are many things from which we need to be cleansed. The greatest signs of a clean heart are a spirit of surrender and humbleness before God and an attitude of humility towards others. In this retreat we will spend time talking with God about the state of our hearts and the fruits that come from humility. Together we will seek to open ourselves to Him as He plants a new and right spirit within us.
This retreat will be led by Deb Griest and Corrie Purdum. This topic was last offered in the Spring of 2017.

Seeking Stillness retreats provide a safe and nurturing environment that allows you to get away from the press of everyday life and spend time with God. This will not be a silent retreat – it’s a quiet retreat. However if you come seeking silence, you will have the freedom to spend the time in whatever way you feel called. There will be reflection guides and activities available throughout the weekend to support you regardless of where you are on your spiritual journey.

We will be meeting at Loyola Retreat Center in Clinton, OH (south of Akron). The retreat will begin at 8:00 p.m. on June 13 and end at approximately 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. Accommodations (private rooms), meals, and retreat materials are all covered by the registration fee. Partial scholarships are available.

The deadline for registration is May 28th. A waiting list will be maintained and utilized if slots become available due to last minute cancellations. Registrations cancelled within these final two weeks will be refunded if the slots can be refilled.
Registration for Retreats/Events will open approximately 6-8 weeks before the scheduled date. Please mark your calendars for all 2025 dates and watch your email for registration opportunities. If you are not on our email list, please feel free to sign up to receive information below.
